Sarah G. Ewald is an occupational therapist and Swiss and European certified Hand Therapist, practicing as a clinician at City Handtherapie in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 1994, she has been teaching continuing education courses for therapists. At the post-graduate level, she teaches in the certificate of advanced studies in Hand Therapy programs at universities in Switzerland, Sweden, and Austria. As a member of the EFSHT education Committee for ten years and the Swiss Hand Rehabilitation education committee for nine years,  she contributed to developing hand therapy certification in Switzerland and Europe. In addition, she served in various offices as a member of the IFSHT executive committee for 15 years, also serving as President of IFSHT from 2013-2016. In 2022, she received the IFSHT Lifetime achievement award for contributions to hand therapy.
